Behaviour Policy
At Rathlee Nursery we pride ourselves on following the latest thinking and best practice in care and education and we have developed a number of policies and procedures to ensure we maintain our leading edge approach. Maintenance of these policies also satisfies the requirements of OFSTED, so we regularly review them to ensure we are always up to date.
This is the Behaviour Policy Statement of Rathlee Nursery:
We will:
- Provide a broad, balanced and purposeful early years curriculum, making sure suitable activities challenge and engage all the children.
- Ensure inclusion of all the children, whatever their need within our nursery.
- Follow the latest thinking in relation to early years behaviour management.
- Promote acceptable behaviour and respect for others at all times.
- Provide a secure, consistent and calm environment for our children.
- Establish clear boundaries according to the child-.s level of understanding.
- Inform and consult with our customers.
- Not tolerate bullying.
- Provide information, instruction, training and supervision for employees so that they are competent and know how to best manage children's behaviour.
- Review and revise this statement and related policies as necessary at regular intervals.
It is the responsibility of the Deputy Manager, Kerry Marsh to ensure this Policy and supporting Behaviour Management Procedure is implemented throughout Rathlee Nursery.
