Aims and Objectives

Aims:

 

We aim to provide a safe, secure environment for children to learn, play and develop in.

 

To provide high quality care in a friendly, homely, pleasant and caring environment.

 

To deliver effective, fun and educational focus activities and planning in accordance with the Foundation Stage Early Learning Goals.

 

To ensure that all children are included whatever their gender, culture, religion, family background or special educational needs.

 

To enable all children to make a happy transition between rooms, through shared meal times and activities through the rooms.

 

To plan a purposeful and diverse curriculum, which takes account of individual needs and interests.

 

To work as an effective team, establishing close relationships between all members of staff to ensure high quality care, safety and continuity for children.

 

To promote each child’s sense of independence and encourage them to make their own choices in play.

 

We aim to employ innovative staff, who are committed to a higher standard of care for young children.

 

We aim to work with parents to encourage the emotional, social, physical, creative and intellectual development of children, reaching their full potential.

 

We aim to secure a broad and balanced curriculum the provides young people with the best possible learning opportunities and experiences.

 

We aim to encourage all children to develop positive attitudes to self and others.

 

Objectives:

 

To allow children of various abilities and cultures to learn and respect each other through play situations.

 

Through community awareness, nature and science we aim to expand each child’s knowledge and understanding of the world they live in.

 

We strive to provide every child’s emotional welfare and security during their time in nursery.  We promote positive relationships with parents/carers by offering an open door policy.

 

Each child will be treated as an individual with individual needs.  Activities and curriculum planning will be applied to identify individual needs.
